Welcome to the first edition of Party Pairings: Entertaining with Vegan Food & Wine

Every month a different chef will be featured and will do a cooking demonstration. The topics will range from how to put together a cheese platter, how to make cheeses, fancy & easy appetizers to make to go along with your platers, tips on how to throw the perfect cocktail event, etc.

We will sample different wines, cheeses, and appetizers in a relaxed and fun environment alongside other veg wine and food lovers. This is a great opportunity to make new friends and business connections.  Bring some business cards if you have any.

About this event:

Chris Tavelli (owner of Pause Wine Bar, & past Wine Director at Millennium) has extensive knowledge on how to pair wine with vegetables and will be giving a presentation on how this topic as well as do a Q&A.  Pause wine bar is committed to supporting sustainable winemaking, as well as family owned and operated wineries. About the Cooking Demo:

Wine and cheese… Individually, they’re delightful, and together a reminder that life is meant to be enjoyed, sipped, and savored on a daily basis. Vegan cheeses have greatly evolved in recent years and have come to be trusted “go-tos” when gatherings arise. But it’s also a boundless and easy task to make your own when company comes calling. With a few things you probably already have on hand, you can make imaginative and wonderful cheese spreads in the flavor profiles you love best.

Personal Vegan Chef Stacey Ellis (
the Herbn’ Vegan) will demo how to make a cashew-based spreadable cheese inspired by a traditional Spanish Romesco sauce. Learn how to combine the tomato, citrus and savory flavors of Spain to create an easy addition to your next wine and cheese event.
